Hello and welcome to my newsletter. I've been waiting breathlessly (well not really) to get access to LinkedIn's newsletter platform. Voila ... Edition #2.
I intend to share useful information you can implement quickly - without a lot of fuss or hassle. I'm dyslexic so I find I often think backwards (Grammarly wants me to say backward - doesn't seem right). I digress. I often see the end and am impatient with the process of getting to where I want to be. Look forward to sharing and hearing from you.
It's hard to believe but six weeks from today is the Winter Solstice. The days will start getting a little bit lighter.
For those of us in the US who just changed our clocks, we're dealing with that awkward adjustment of it being dark before 5 pm ... at least here in New England where we are further north - it's really dark!
I'm one of those weird people who like this six weeks and here is why ... I have no expectations of being outside or being particularly cheery. What I do with this time is focus on something I have been avoiding and get it done.
Working from home (even before COVID) meant I have multiple projects going at once in a small city apartment. I have avoided creating a dedicated workspace since I am often on my laptop. However, that hasn't been working since I am not the neatest person in the world and I'm fibbing when I say multiple projects - it's really more like too many projects.
You're Invited ...
Join me in this six-week journey. Think about something you can accomplish in six weeks. Think about The Net Effect of how you'll feel when it's done.
- So far I have decluttered far too many empty boxes than I want to admit.
- Started creating a workspace that will provide a place to film my online courses.
- STARTED (operative word) to prepare my home for winter.
My vision is that I can invite someone over for an impromptu coffee and not feel mortified.
What's your goal for Winter Solstice? Will you accept my invitation?
